Her birth went well. We were able to take a few pictures as soon as she was born but then Annabelle needed to be taken to NICU. During the labor I developed a fever which was indicative of an infection. And since I had an infection Annabelle also had the infection. That meant antibiotics for both of us. Once Annabelle was taken to NICU and things had calmed down in the room, I started vomiting which lead to hemorrhaging, and low blood pressure. Thankfully the nurses and doctor were able to get things under control and a few hours later I was able to be transferred to a postpartum room. Later that day I was unhooked from the IV and James and I were able to go to NICU to spend time with our baby girl.
We are so thankful that God allowed us all to return home on Sunday.
